GOOD DESIGN was founded by Eero Saarinen, Charles Eames, and Ray Eames in 1950 and remains the oldest and most recognized program for design excellence worldwide. The Chicago Athenaeum presents the GOOD DESIGN Awards Program, emphasizing design and manufacturing that have chartered new directions for innovation and pushed the envelope for competitive products in the world marketplace. The 75th edition of the competition featured over 1,100 product designs and graphics from over 55 countries. Pelican was recognized in the Lighting category.
Pelican stands out with its elegant, organic shape that enhances its surroundings, and is designed to integrate seamlessly into various outdoor spaces. Advanced edge-lit technology, composed of LED boards, diffuser, reflector, and drivers, enables Pelican to offer a wide, luminous area. Distributing light evenly across its expansive 24" x 18" surface eliminates harsh hotspots and reduces glare to create soft, uniform, and gradual illumination.
All award-winning products are published in the GOOD DESIGN Yearbook for 2025-2026. Winners will also be celebrated in April at the GOOD DESIGN Show in Athens, Greece.
