Adaptable to both indoors and outdoors, Quanta is available in various models and finishes.

Optical Design and Light Control

Quanta is designed to achieve various lighting functions while keeping continuity in design.

Combined up and down light Quanta – the first multi-functional SSL luminaire to incorporate up and down light. Both uplight and downlight components are completely independent of each other so you can pinpoint your light distribution. Choose from a narrow beam to light columns or illuminate a pathway with wide distribution and a spacing ratio of up to 5 mounting heights with the downlight.

What’s more, optional front lighting is available for creating an enhanced wall marking feature or simply a visual element on the wall.

Downlight Enjoy the benefits of full cut-off distribution – thanks to a set of lenses individually and precisely positioned to provide Type II distribution and a 5 mounting height spacing ratio.

Uplight Quanta is also perfect for uplight for wall illumination or under canopy illumination.

Optional light control Need to light a pathway or ceiling canopy? Quanta is also available with an optional forward throw for enhanced illumination of large areas when you need to get additional light away from the wall.

Thermal management

Heat Dissipation Quanta’s design is an efficient heat sink, providing optimal evacuation of heat from the LEDs. Engineered with an internal heat extraction and dissipation method allowing optimum light emission.

Smart Monitors Quanta’s LED system has been designed to adapt to its environment. Featuring smart electronic monitors, Quanta regulates the LED’s thermal reaction to ambient temperatures by monitoring junction temperatures of each LED to prevent them from overheating.

To ensure protection against overheating in areas where Quanta is installed, the smart monitor reduces current and output to prevent damage to the LEDs and prevent premature failure. The effect is virtually undetectable.

Color Temperature

Quanta comes standard with a color temperature of 4000K. Employing only industry-recognized LED manufacturers with ANSI compliant binning, Quanta delivers the best consistency in color rendering.

Adjustability

Quanta was designed with architectural light requirements in mind. Featuring a unique on-site adjustment mechanism, it allows luminaires to tilt 15 degrees in two directions. And with an adjustable arm constructed of cast aluminum and stainless steel, you’re guaranteed sturdiness and durability.

LM-79 Photometry

Quanta has been tested by a recognized independent photometric laboratory in accordance with testing procedures LM-79-2008 from the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA).

This describes the methods for testing SSL products for their photometric characteristics such as total luminous flux (lumens), luminous efficacy (lm/W), luminous intensity (candelas) in one or more directions, chromaticity coordinates, correlated color temperature (CCT) and color rendering index (CRI).

For the most part, LM-79 describes test methods for total luminous flux measurement. More specifically, LM-79 recognizes absolute, rather than relative photometry.

Life

Quanta was designed for longevity by incorporating key factors into its design that favor cool and stable operation over time. An efficient dissipation of heat from LEDs coupled with a lower drive current (450mA) and Quanta’s smart electronic monitoring of LEDs ensures a reliable and durable product. All of this translates into an impressive operational life of over 100,000 hours.

Quanta uses only LEDs from recognized chipmakers with published lumen depreciation LM-80 data.

Upgrading / Servicing

With LED technology expected to improve over time, Quanta was designed to be adaptable. Featuring a unique design, Quanta allows for simple upgrading over the lifetime of the product.

Modularity LED’s are assembled on modular and removable circuit boards. This approach favors individual replacements in the event of accidental premature failure – as opposed to luminaire replacement.

Each printed circuit board is bonded with a rigid aluminum strip assuring continuous heat transmission.

Construction

Materials Quanta’s housing is built to last, using a modular extruded aluminum with a highly thermal conductive alloy.

Electronic components Quanta provides a highly efficient light output thanks to the support of an electronic efficiency driver.

Finish

Quanta is available in a wide variety of polyester powder-coated finishes. A five-stage preparation process including preheating of cast parts for air pocket extraction and an environmentally-friendly alloy sealant provides a quality finish to match the life of the LED. Polyester powder coating is applied through an electrostatic process and oven cured for long-term durability against harsh weather conditions.
